Retin - A:
A time-tested product for sun-damaged skin. It is a daily treatment, and effectively removes actinic damage and helps maintain good skin tone.
Chemical Peels:
These products include TCA, Glycolic acid, and others. These are useful for fine lines of the face. They are "painted" on the treated areas, causing a controlled chemical burn that tightens the skin. Some redness may persist for several weeks afterwards with some of the more potent peels.
Laser Treatments:
Laser treatments are used for fine lines of the face, much as chemical peels. the downside was often a permanent hypopigmentation (white face) of the treated areas. I do not use laser surfacing for this reason.
Other Treatments:
Other treatments involving various facial lotions, laser hair removal, laser removal of red pigmented lesions, tattooing, and others all have merit. At this time, however, we are not offering these treatments, but we can suggest the names of qualified individuals who perform these treatments.
